Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 2026 • Please read these terms carefully before using Etomu.
Welcome to Etomu
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Etomu web platform, wallet services, and task management system. By using our services, you agree to comply with all terms outlined below.
Terms & Operational Guidelines
1. Account Registration & Eligibility
By creating an account on Etomu, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and capable of entering into legally binding contracts under Ugandan law. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.
2. Wallet, Deposits & Escrow Payments
All payment transactions—including deposits via Mobile Money (MTN MoMo and Airtel Money)—are processed through our secure payment partners. When a service booking is confirmed, funds are held in escrow until task completion and approval. Premature release of escrow funds prior to task verification is strictly prohibited.
3. Platform Service Fees & Withdrawals
Etomu charges standard platform commission fees on completed service bookings to cover transaction processing, platform maintenance, and dispute resolution guarantees. Wallet withdrawals are subject to Mobile Money carrier charges and anti-fraud verification checks.
4. User Conduct & Quality Standards
Service providers must deliver services in a professional, timely manner conforming to agreed task scopes. Clients must provide safe working environments and honest project requirements. Misrepresentation, harassment, off-platform payment solicitations, or fraudulent activities result in immediate account suspension.
5. Cancellations, Refunds & Dispute Mediation
Task cancellations and refund requests are governed by our Dispute Resolution Policy. In the event of a disagreement between a client and provider, both parties agree to submit to Etomu’s binding internal dispute mediation process before seeking external legal remedies.
6. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law
Etomu serves as a digital intermediary platform connecting clients and independent service providers. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Etomu shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from third-party service execution.
